The Guinness World Record attempt for the Longest Hair Braiding Marathon by an Individual will require extraordinary endurance. For every minute of those 48–55 hours, Wendy will braid continuously — pushing through exhaustion, pressure, and physical strain in pursuit of history.
Preparing for this attempt has involved months of planning, training, sacrifice, and coordination. Behind the scenes are volunteers, supporters, sponsors, models, creatives, and well-wishers who believe in the vision and are helping bring this historic event to life.
Every braid completed during the marathon represents more than hairstyling. It represents persistence, growth, courage, and purpose.
Model Requirements
Hair Preparation Rules & Guidelines
1Hair Must Be Clean+
Participants must arrive with freshly washed, clean hair and scalp before the event day.
2Hair Must Be Fully Detangled+
Hair should be combed, stretched, and properly detangled before arrival to reduce delays and maintain consistency.
3No Existing Hairstyles+
Arrive without braids, weaves, wigs, extensions, tight cornrows, or glued hairstyles. Hair should be ready per team instructions.
4No Heavy Hair Products+
Avoid oils, gels, edge control, wax, or thick creams. This ensures easier handling and consistency.
5Hair Length Requirements+
Participants must meet a minimum of 5 inches in hair length to qualify.
6No Blunt Cuts+
Hair should have natural taper and growth. Blunt, freshly cut ends are not permitted.
7Hair Photos Required+
Applicants must submit a front photo, side photo, and back photo clearly showing current hair condition and length.
8Do Not Alter Hair After Approval+
Once selected, do not significantly cut, color, chemically treat, or change your hairstyle without notifying the organizers.
9Follow Official Event Instructions+
Any final preparation instructions issued before the event must be followed strictly.
