Model Rules & Regulations
1. Registration Required — All models must register before participating. Models must provide accurate contact information.
2. Arrival Time — Models must arrive at least 2 hours before their scheduled braiding session.
3. Clean Hair — Hair must be clean, dry, and free from excessive product buildup before the session.
4. Follow Instructions — Models must follow instructions from the organizer, volunteers, and event coordinators at all times.
5. Respectful Conduct — Models must treat everyone with respect and avoid disruptive behavior.
6. Photography and Video Consent — Models agree that photos and videos may be taken during the event and used for promotional, media, and record-attempt purposes.
7. Health and Comfort — Models should immediately inform the team if they experience discomfort, pain, dizziness, or any medical concern.
8. No Interference with Record Attempt — Models must remain cooperative during the braiding process and avoid actions that could disrupt timing, judging, or documentation.
9. No Existing Hairstyles — Participants should arrive without braids, weaves, wigs, extensions, tight cornrows, or glued hairstyles.
10. Hair Length Requirements — Participants must meet a minimum of 5 inches.
11. No Blunt Cuts — Hair should not have blunt cuts that compromise braiding consistency.
12. Hair Photos Required — Applicants must submit front, side, and back photos clearly showing current hair condition and length.
13. Schedule Compliance — Models should remain available for the full duration of their assigned session unless released by the event team.
14. Personal Belongings — Models are responsible for their own personal belongings.
15. Media Interviews — Models may be invited for interviews or testimonials but participation is voluntary.
16. Right to Refuse Participation — The organizer reserves the right to refuse or end participation if a model violates event rules or behaves inappropriately.
17. No Hair Products — Avoid oils, gels, edge control, wax, and thick creams.
18. Hair Must Be Fully Detangled — Hair should be combed, stretched, and properly detangled before arrival to reduce delays and maintain consistency during the attempt.
19. Do Not Alter Hair After Approval — Once selected, participants should not significantly cut, color, chemically treat, or change their hairstyle without notifying the organizers.
